What families ask us
First-time camp families usually have the same questions.
What ages and which weeks?
Camp is for ages 8 to 15, and sessions run one week or two between late June and mid-August. Sunday afternoon is arrival day, and the session ends on a Friday.
What is a day like?
A bell wakes the cabins, and the day has four activity periods, a swim period, a rest hour and an evening program.
What do I bring?
A sleeping bag, clothes for every weather, swim things and a flashlight. Phones and tablets stay home.
What happens in rain or heat?
Activities move into the lodge, the arts pavilion and the dining hall when a storm or very hot weather comes. We tell families about big changes.
How do arrival, visiting day and pickup work?
Families bring campers to the lodge gate on Sunday afternoon, visit on the middle Sunday of a two-week session and pick up on Friday afternoon. We release a camper only to an adult on your list.
How does tuition work?
It depends on the length of the session and your camper's age group. Call the camp office and we will go through what sets it and how it is paid.
How do I hold a place, and what is the waitlist?
Register online. When a session is full, join the waitlist and we call you when a place opens, in the order families joined.
What about allergies and medicine?
Tell us at registration, and we ask what we need privately. The nurse keeps medicine at the health center and gives it at set times.
Can my camper bunk with a friend?
Send us a request when you register, and we try to place friends in the same cabin when they are the same age group. We make the final cabin lists.
What if my camper is homesick?
It happens, and counselors expect it. A camper can talk to a counselor, the nurse or the director, and we call you when we think a call would help. Phones stay home, and letters are part of camp.
